Jack Williams Reverse Total Shoulder and Reverse Total Shoulder Revision
“In my career, I’ve learned that trust means everything and Dr. Brian Cohen was more than trustworthy to me,” stated Jack Williams. Jack is retired after 23 years as a correctional officer for the Ohio Department of Rehab and Corrections. After several assaults and overtime, his shoulder was in superior pain.
“My bicep tendon had ripped, and it was able to be temporarily fixed. However, in 2009 it tore completely,” said Jack. This tear led Jack to his first encounter with Dr. Brian Cohen. “His bed side manner, reputation and his ability to explain things so I could understand them helped meet all of my expectations.”
This surgery improved Jack’s way of life. From ball field to field and gym to gym, following his grandkids in sports was one of his and his wife’s favorite past-times. This year, Jack found himself back in the office.
The prosthetics broke which caused his shoulder to freeze. “This happened on a Saturday, so I was able to go to the walk-in clinic and see Dr. Cohen immediately.” After emergency surgery Dr. Cohen provided a great care plan and even got involved in Jack’s physical therapy.
“The aftercare and pre-care that Dr. Cohen provides is top notch and unmatched.” Jack’s pain is minimal, and his range of motion is almost back to normal. He is working on restrengthening muscles in his shoulder. “For the first time in a while I can have the entire family over to swim. My mowing and household maintenance is back,” explained Jack.
