From Bone-on-Bone Pain to a New Lease on Life: Steven’s Story
For years, Steven Gullett pushed through the pain.
As a contractor who remodels homes, flips houses, and travels for physically demanding work, slowing down wasn’t really an option. But arthritis in both knees was gradually taking away the things he loved most, not just his work, but his hobbies, his independence, and his quality of life.
“It affects everything,” Steven said. “I couldn’t even walk around Pike Lake without my legs stiffening up. I couldn’t walk through Walmart and back out before my knees would lock up.”
From Constant Pain to Playing with His Grandkids Again: Clarence Hughes’ Knee Replacement Story
For most of his life, Clarence Hughes stayed on his feet.
Born and raised in Chillicothe, Clarence spent decades working in restaurant management, often putting in 50 to 60-hour work weeks standing for long periods of time. At 67 years old, he had built a life around hard work, family, and staying involved in his community.
Matt Hall’s Story: Reclaiming Life, Mobility, and Confidence After Bilateral Knee Replacement
Matt Hall is a construction manager who has spent most of his life working in commercial construction and building things with his hands. Originally from South Florida, he moved to central Ohio in 2007, where he continued his career and built a life rooted in hard work, family, and the outdoors. A father of three adult children and now engaged, Matt describes himself as someone who has always stayed active, whether on job sites, out on the water, or tackling projects around the house.
