Edward Higgins Double Knee Replacement
“I couldn’t do anything. It took me ten minutes to get up,” stated Edward. Edward Higgins is a cancer survivor, retired electrician and now, a double knee replacement advocate. In his free time, he enjoys working on small engines and playing with his grandkids. Once those activities became nearly impossible, he knew it was time.

After x-rays and an MRI, Dr. Brian Cohen determined that Edward was ready for a double-knee replacement. “He was honest, he didn’t beat around the bush, and he showed me what he was going to do and that’s exactly what happened! One thing I really appreciated was the preparation he took before seeing me. He didn’t ask reoccurring questions because he studied my chart before coming in.”
There’s nothing more irritating than having to repeat yourself again and again as a patient who is in pain. At Cohen Orthopedic, our patients are our top priority. “Dr. Cohen is
the best orthopedic surgeon you can get. Just like I refer to Cleveland Clinic as the best for cancer, Dr. Cohen is the best for orthopedic surgery,” explained Edward.
Today, both knees are almost back to normal. Edward’s recovery went extremely well; He was doing what someone was doing at six weeks within one week. “Removing the bandage was the most painful part!”
