Jean Kennedy Knee Replacements
The motor carts at the front of the grocery store did a lot more for Jean than help her around the store. They influenced her to get knee replacements. “I hate those things and I couldn’t go anywhere without one. It’s what really convinced me it was time,” said Jean Kennedy.

Jean has worked for Spectrum for about 17 years. Before her knee replacements, she had trouble sitting during her breaks, she couldn’t climb up or down stairs, and couldn’t go anywhere without the motor cart. “My pain on a good day was a 6 or 7 on a scale of 1-10,” she added.
After a lot of research and a referral from Dr. Troy Thompson of Sports Medicine, Jean decided to make the appointment with Dr. Cohen. “He was great! He always answered all my questions with dignity and respect, and I really liked the fact I could tell he done his research on my charts prior to coming into the room.” She mentioned it’s nice when your doctors really listen, “and they both did.”
Since Jean’s procedure her coworkers have even noticed saying things like “look at you go with those knees.” Jean said, “I’m up in front of the group now when we go to leave for the day. I get to do more things and go more places.”
Jean lives in Columbus and has three kids. Her oldest son has a Jeep Rubicon that she can now get in appropriately instead of crawling or needing assistance. She enjoys going to the zoo, crafting, thrift shopping and doing puzzles – and now she has all the motivation to do it!
